WLW Art Festival
The WLW Art Festival has been held annually since October 2022, ahead of International Lesbian Day, in partnership with Rainbow Ignite. The festival provides an important space for visibility, connection, and celebration of the lesbian, bisexual, and queer artistic scene in Serbia.
Through a variety of artistic forms − including theatre, poetry, visual art, graffiti and performance − the festival provides a platform for artists creating WLW (women who love women) art. In doing so, it creates space for authentic forms of expression, personal and political narratives, and questioning dominant cultural patterns.
Beyond its artistic program, the WLW Art Festival has a strong community and activist dimension. It brings together artists, activists and the wider community, fostering the exchange of experiences, solidarity and mutual support. The festival increases visibility of lesbian identities and themes in public space while strengthening cultural production that is often marginalized.
