Proud at Work

Labris implements the Proud at Work program by developing a network that brings together employers and companies committed to inclusive, human rights-based workplaces, including respect for the rights of LGBTI people. The network was established in 2021 and has continued to grow, bringing together an increasing number of companies that are actively working to improve inclusive policies and practices in the workplace.

Work with employers also includes targeted educational activities, such as training on recognizing and overcoming stereotypes and prejudices, as well as organizing “Living Libraries”, which create opportunities for employees to meet and exchange experiences directly with LGBTI people. These activities help break down stigma and build more inclusive workplaces.

At the same time, the program focuses on empowering LGBTI people in the labor market. Through entrepreneurship training, job interview simulations, and support with writing CVs and cover letters, participants gain practical knowledge and skills, as well as a better understanding of their labor rights.

The program is designed as a two-way process: on the one hand, it strengthens the capacities of the community, while on the other, it contributes to transforming the business sector. This approach helps create a responsible and inclusive business environment in which LGBTI people are equally included and protected.
